Promoting the Tennessee Walking Horse in Ohio for over 30 Years |
|
Since 1974, the Mid Ohio Walking Horse Association has been dedicated to the promotion of the Tennessee Walking Horse. Our focus is on the sound and natural Pleasure Walking Horse which we promote through shows, trail rides, clinics, demonstrations, meetings, educational activities and involvement in Ohio's Equine Affaire. Our growth and success is due to the efforts and dedication of our members and we appreciate their continued support. For information about joining MOWHA or for questions about our various programs, please contact us. MOWHA offers a variety of services and programs throughout the calendar year. The Walker Talker, MOWHA's monthly newsletter, serves as a great source of TWH happenings in Ohio and the surrounding states as well as an informational source for club activities, and available services in the area. The show committee organizes and conducts three major exhibitions each year, including the Spring Spectacular, the Pleasure Trials and the Fall Round Up. The High Point committee tracks points throughout the year for members at each of MOWHA's shows as well as those shows held by other area clubs to compile the list of annual award winners which are presented at the HP Awards Banquet in January. We also have been fortunate to be involved in the Equine Affaire, a national Equine Exposition held in Columbus every year. In addition to these, the Trail committee sponsors various club rides throughout the year and a Trail Miles Program with awards based on total yearly distances. MOWHAOnline.com offers a variety of resources for your convenience. The Bargain Barn is a listing of current horses and other related items for sale by MOWHA members. The Classifieds Directory is a listing of Farms and Stallions in the Ohio area for those interested in either buying, breeding or training horses. The Club Forms section includes various files useful to MOWHA members and finally Showbills offers a compiled list of the major TWH events in Ohio and the surrounding areas. We hope you find this portion of the website useful and check back regularly for up to date information. |
